A recent study showed that taking vinegar five minutes before eating could reduce the Glycemic Impact of most carbs, which is a big plus for diabetics (like me). I had been drinking two tablespoons of cider vinegar before eating, but that was getting a little rough on my throat.These are fair sized tablets and they do have a strong vinegar smell, but nothing that most people couldn't handle. The bottle lid has a pop top, so it is easy to get the tablets out once the safety seal, cotton insert, and "Nature's Bounty" info pamphlet are removed (not so easy if you have large fingers, like me). I got these tablets to give me a shot of acid with my meals. And so far I have noticed a significant decrease in after-meal indigestion. However, I find the vinegar odor too strong when I open the bottle. While the tablets are strong-flavored, as well, I can swallow them quickly enough not to be bothered by the taste. When it comes time for me to reorder, I plan to switch to a capsule, which I expect will greatly reduce the odor. |
